Here are some frequently asked questions about websites and website development.

Can I have my own domain name?
Absolutely! You can use a domain name you already own, or, you can purchase one via any domain name provider, or I can sort this out for you.

What do your websites cost?

My prices depend on many factors. Check out my “Packages Page” and if you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. If you would like a custom package I will ask a few questions about your project, what features and interactivity you’ll need, who will handle content development, whether or not you’d like to sell online. After this short discussion, I should be able to give you a ballpark number. If you’re still interested, I will be happy to develop a comprehensive proposal that outlines the scope, process and costs.

How long does it take to build a site?

Once I have all the content (text and images), it should take 3-6 weeks for me to design and build a typical, small scale website of 8-10 pages. This time frame can vary depending on the scale of your website.

Will we be able to maintain our website, or will you do that for us?

This is a great question. What would work best for your company?  I offer two main website maintenance options. Which come with extra security and back ups of your website. Or of course you can choose to maintain your own website.

What are your payment terms?

Generally I require a 50% deposit. The second 50% is due at launch of website.

Will I be able to make changes to the site after it is completed?

Yes. I use WordPress to build all my sites and this powerful content management system allows those with strong computer skills to make many changes to the site themselves.
